My ex stole my SSN to get an auto loan. What should I do?

He took out an auto loan using my SSN in 2009. I just found out about this when I was trying to check my credit report online. They asked me security questions about what was my monthly payment on the auto loan and who was the loan issuer. They said the auto loan was taken out in 2009. I know it was my ex who used my identity because I once saw him use someone else's passport to plan to bring someone from another country into the United States. I was completely against him doing it and we had a huge fight over it. He also used my check to take out money then when informed him that someone took out money without my permission, he was not surprised at all and told me that the bank would give me my money back. I called the bank and they closed my account and have me my money back. However, they didn't do anything about him even though I told them his name and that I knew he had misused my check. On another occasion, I told me he was stealing money online using PayPal. I know I was a fool to keep dating him for a few more months, but I did break up after he cheated on me and after I realized that he had no future or life. I have no proof that he took out the auto loan using my SSN and am waiting for the credit report to arrive in the mail since they refused to provide it online as I couldn't answer those auto loan security questions. Can I sue him? How can I fix my bad credit? What should I do about this auto loan being taken out using my social?

Hello, I Live in the UK, I am 22 years old and I have a Kia picanto which is my everyday car. My girlfriend is the main driver and owner and I am a named driver on the policy. I have a Subaru Impreza which I want to use at weekends etc and only little use. Is there any sort of Insurance for this? Its a 1998 plate so don't think I qualify for classic cover. Basically I will do about 500 miles a year in the Subaru and can't afford the 4000 for the year. I know a lot of people will say just sell it etc etc. But I love the car and owned for the last year and do not want to sell. I just want a little help please. With the cost of petrol etc I no longer use the Subaru as everyday use as it gets me about 11 MPG and the Kia about 53 MPG and can't afford two full price premiums. I'm only just turning 18 so I've never bought insurance myself my whole life. My stance on insurance is this: You might not have full coverage, they'll try to weasel out of paying you AND you might go for years without getting into an accident. In that time, if you pool up the money you'd have spent on car insurance you'd be able to pay for a car accident anyways. Now I'm just pulling this out of my butt, I don't have much of a basis on saying these things other than its just how i feel about it all, which is why I'm here. What creases me the most out of all this is that i hear car insurance for people my age is high, they treat us all the same and were not given a chance. Apparently no one sees age discrimination if it were slapped on to their face. They force you to have car insurance in Ontario which to me sounds a little ridiculous because i thought insurance was a service, an offer provided by companies, not an obligatory contract the government makes you pay for even if you don't want it. You can see my clear disposition against it at all, quite frankly i about don't wanna drive at all at this point. Though I want to be convinced because Canada's winters are cold, and modern life today kind of requires you to have your own mode of transportation.

Insurance company stepping over the line?
