My credit score is only 565. I am looking to somehow get financed for an auto loan. New car, used car....as long as its going to get me around, I don't care. I am just trying to find someone who will finance me (here in San Antonio, Tx), and not also screw me over (too much). I know I will have to have a big down payment, (which I don't have) and I shouldn't go from dealership to dealership because it will further ruin my credit. And I can't lease a car without outstanding credit. So, my question is, will a credit union even approve me for a loan? If so, how old of a car do they usually approve a loan for? what can you tell me?

Alright, this is part two of my question. To recap, on March 25 I was in a two car motor vehicle accident in California. Two weeks ago I done some insurance quotes. I was shopping around and doing price comparison sites. I did quotes on a few different car makes and models but all cars were 1.2 or less. My car has recently been declared an insurance write off, basically a young guy (17) pulled out of a side road T-Bone ing me, causing me to be pushed into a tree, all the under body of my car was twisted and it would cost more to repair than the car is worth. I transfer my car to under my grandma's name. She's the owner of the car now. But the problem is the apartment where she lives requires the car must have an insurance policy that has her name in it? She lives in California and doesn't have a driver license (she is really old). HELP!!!! Insurance company saying I owe money after a car accident that happened 2 years ago! What do I do?

2 years ago I got into a 4 car pile up accident. The accident was my fault. After the wreck happened, my insurance company took care of all the people who were involved in the wreck but me because I had only liability. No one was hurt in the wreck. I recieved a letter from my insurance company that I owed them $700.00. I paid it and they told me everything was taken care of and never heard anything about the accident. Now 2 years later I get a letter from the Credit Collection company saying I owe them $82,000 dollars!!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?!? How do I find out what they want me to pay so much money for??? and what do I do if i cant pay this!? there is NO WAY I can afford to pay that much $$!!!
