I do pet sitting (small income) and I have a photography business (last year small income but double this year). But I also have my boyfriend (not husband) who lives with me and he deposits all of his checks into my account. So wouldn't this also be considered my income if its going into my bank account every month ? and if so how would I describe that to a lender or on a loan application (should I just include it in my annual income ?. We dont want to put my boyfriends name on the paper work because he does not have good credit.

Hi. So I recently moved from New England to North Carolina. I have my 2002 Toyota Camry. It was my Dad's and is still under his name. Last year I had Unitrin Direct....they were charging me $85 a month...this is with NO tickets or accidents for the last 5 years of my driving record....this is also with the BASIC insurance that you need in Florida...10/10/20...NO collision...and a $1000 deductible..... So at the end of my 6 months...it was time for a renewal...they tried to bump me up to $140 a month for no reason...still no accidents/tickets...nothing had changed...i had expected my rate to DECREASE....they tell me it's a STATEWIDE INCREASE ......so i called around... Ended up switching to Allstate who has been charging me $90 a month (better than $140 right?).....6 months go by, everything's cool.....now my policy renewal is coming up and they're trying to tell me i need to pay $160 a month for their basic insurance. Are you kidding me? And according to them it's another STATEWIDE INSURANCE INCREASE ...... They also told me that it could be due to not having CONSECUTIVE insurance for the last few years, as in...I switched from State Farm to Unitrin to Allstate......they told me call the state insurance commissioner...which I did.... Got connected to some guy in Gainesville who tells me that the INSURANCE companies are the ones who decide the rates and increases...not them. Pretty much BS....Allstate's blaming the state, state's blaming them...feels like a huge runaround to me. Guess my questions are.... Should I stick with Allstate and pay $160 a month for this absolute BASIC insurance (keep in mind..no collision, $1000 deductible)...my car's not even worth a YEAR of their insurance. .... I live in North Carolina and my Dad lives in Texas. I am going to college close to my mother who current ly insures me. I am not going to have a car for probably 2-3 years, and will literally never drive my moms car when I am at home, but my mom is paying a large amount of money to be on her plan. The insurance people said that you have to be more than 100 miles away from her to be taken off because there is resonable doubt I would drive. I was wondering if state laws allow for me to be insured by my dads plan in Tx, if so, would it cost a lot to be on his? If thats not possible, is there anyway to be taken off my moms or to not be insured at all?

I was parked out of my girlfriends house and apparently during my visit someone had hit my car that was parked on the side of the road. How would you fix health care in the US?

I feel good and bad about this law. I'm conservative. I don't entirely agree with the law. But it's good that people are able to get on an affordable insurance plan if they have a pre-existing condition rather than being left out to die. But what about the people who are getting kicked off insurance plans and now have to pay even higher rates than they already were? I get a subsidy for my plan. I don't feel like I deserve it. I saw a lady on the news who had cancer and couldn't get insurance. I feel like she is the one who deserves a subsidy so she can get a plan. How do you feel about this law? And what happens if a Republican gets into office or they control the legislative branch in 2014 and repeal the law? Then what?

Hello all, I have a couple of questions, this year I plan to purchase my first car. Through having a steady job for almost 3 years, I plan to buy it in my own name at the age 18, I'm 17 now, female, full time student, part time employee. I have just recently gotten my Learners Permit Nov. 2010. My questions are: Could I begin to pay for insurance without a car? Could I put down payments on a car and keep making payments (without driving it)? What are some good way to acquire the car of my dreams by my 18th birthday (Mazda3 2011; 4 door). I know being that I'm 17 there's not much I can do without parental consent. I am applying for an auto loan for a used car. I have good credit 760 fico. But I have a confusing source of income. I do pet sitting (small income) and I have a photography business (last year small income but double this year). But I also have my boyfriend (not husband) who lives with me and he deposits all of his checks into my account. So wouldn't this also be considered my income if its going into my bank account every month ? and if so how would I describe that to a lender or on a loan application (should I just include it in my annual income ?. We dont want to put my boyfriends name on the paper work because he does not have good credit.
